Replacement rubber block to hold fold down windscreen

I need a pair of the square rubber blocks that mount on bonnet to hold the fold down windscreen. Tried Clark rubber, but no luck. They couldn't find a part no on microfische. Does anyone have a part no. source or even better, a pair of the rubber blocks. Pic of the block attached if that helps.

Window Rubbers

Hi. These things of course aren't just rubber stoppers, the windscreen knob pushes inside them and then is held there to stop the windscreen bouncing up and down, that's why there's no hold down straps. They are called "211 841 957 Buffer - Windshield" on page 800-1 of the parts book. There are 2 washers and a screw listed too, they may or may not be part of the setup, the book isn't that specific. The ones I've removed had a screw, steel washer and a rubber washer you push in the hole so the windscreen knob doesn't hit the screw head.
I've got one off my car KO813 and 1 off KO861, both are unserviceable. I've seen 2 sets of what was described as NOS (new old stock) 211 841 957 on eBay, I got the second set. They are longer than the genuine ones I've got, they didn't come in any packaging and don't have part numbers cast into them so there's no way to tell if they are true NOS or not. The fact that they are slightly different doesn't mean they aren't 211 841 957, things change over the years and that may be what they supplied as 211 841 957 later on. They are in fact an improvement because there’s more rubber in the bottom for the screw to hold so they don’t get knocked off as easily. The new ones have a slightly curved base on them. I expect they are the ones that come on the side of Type 2 Kombi utes to hold the side and tail gates in the down position, which would explain why they were made stronger, so they didn’t get wiped off. They'll do me, I’m more than happy with them. No you can’t have them. Others may know where you get them from. See the picture. Good luck. Tony.

John,

I know that Clarke Bubber have both the front and rear boot and windscreen rubbers in their catalogue. They dont carry in stock but will make them up in 7 to 10 days. I dont recall pricing as it was 2 years ago and it would have changed anyway.

BTW, Did you get the F125 Series motor from the West

OK guys, the price is quite high since there is a tooling cost ....to have 100 pieces made the cost would be $ 30.0 each...at 200 off - $ 22.80

To go ahead with this, there would need to be demand for 100 pieces....otherwise I'd have to wear the tooling cost and stock 80 pieces....which is not a good option for me...

Have a butchers at this from West Coast Metric https://shop.westcoastmetric.com/viewProduct.php?productID=261-575  in conjunction with thread http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=71692
West Coast calls them “Part #: 261-575 RUBBER BUFFER PADS, SIDEGATES, SET OF 4, 25MM TALL, BUS PICKUP 52-79 while the tread indicates they may be the same. I don’t know? Might have to have a look at a ute?

Here's some on eBay. There's some other stuff there too, have a look at his "other inems".

hi all

I tought I revive this thread as I am not sure if anyone ever ended up making these.
I have a good contact that will be able to make these in smaller batches and hopefully at a better price.
Only thing is I need a good one to copy from .
The ones of my cbs are all either gone or too stuffed to copy.
Is there one out there that is in good condition that someone would either be willing to sell to me or lend to me until the process of making them is finished.
also if there is any other rubber stuff that is not yet reproed let me know and i will look into getting the stuff remade.
I have not started restoring one yet so i dont know what parts are required.
cheers

Steffen,

I do have a spare one in pretty good condition and am happy to post it your way for use as a template on the proviso I get it back in due course.

There is not many other rubber components for the CB that I dont have access to or can source already so I dont think it is worth looking at other rubber stuff.

Email me at countrybuggybill@hotmail.com with some details
