Thanks for letting me tag along lads. It has been awhile since I have enjoyed a day of real VW action like that.
I asked D Stoker today to build me a drag VW to drive...unfortunalely he just laughed!!
Oh well I guess I will just have to stick to helping out for now - Col I'll help with the catering next time, if you share your burger recipe.

Amazing how 4 Volksies racing can generate so much good conversation....imagine 40.
Keep your ears open for such a meeting at Warwick Drag Strip this year.
Any input regarding classes would be welcomed.

So Craig,
are you going to be ready soon...September is the big Jamboree and the possibility of a Warwick VW meeting.
Is there anything I can do to spur things on a little? Some times it is better to pay rather than have to wait so long for something that
is free.
We are all waiting to see what gains are to be had with this twin plug thing.
What other improvements do you have planned?
Must be five years since you ran last?

I'd be keen to have a run some time soon (without the pressure of a "big meet") - I reckon my beetle would be as slow as dog shit, but it would be
fun I'm sure! I'd also say Brad (blup58) will eventually be keen to run his ghia (2110 with close ratio box). Keep us up to date Dave re. any future
plans!

Hey Dave
It's actually been 6yrs since I ran last! It's not 4 free, it's a sponsored deal between Stan, Pete & myself.
Stage 1 is reworked heads with the twin - plug thingy, new case, new exhaust. Hopefully be ready soon.
Webers are done, new fuel line going in, cars polished with those great products from WAX-IT, and lookin purdy!
Just got to get my rev-limiter sorted (never worked) and the electrics for the new ignition thingy.
New battery and air cleaners and I'm ready.
