Good repairs , but why didn't you just join some of the multi patch areas all into one bigger area , as no dought those little spaces left will be back to haunt you later .

PS Were you at leon's this morning with your kids as my wife said she was talking to someone outside with a slammed type 3

Mate me personally i wouldn't from looking at the pics paint is in good nick. I have ankor wax on the split and it's great on the surface rust/worn out bits, but the places were it was put on good paint i hate it and am trying to get it off.

Ok.most of the paint on the car is really thin and some even bare metal.hard to see in the pics but this thing is very ratty.not sure what else to do to protect it as I like it how it is.even the rusty bits.

Same as my 62 beetle it has exposed metal very thin og paint and i like it as well. What i did was painted rust converter (with small paint brush) on exposed metal to stop it from going any further. Left dry for a day, and do its magic then treat those spots with ankor wax (with small brush) and not the paint. With the paint i gave it a good wash and then gave it good paint cleaner then a good quaility canubra wax (mothers brand) all done lightly by hand. Came up a treat and not shiny at all like a new car. the paint just looks more alive and not dry. I was all for ankor waxing all of my bug until i got the split. were the split still has nice paint the ankor wax has really spoiled it and goes to more of a lacquer type sheen to it. I like what the ankor wax has done to the roof, but the splits roof is full on surface rust no colour at all which i think ankor wax is perfect for. Mate if that is og paint don't ankor wax it just give that paint some quality time!
