Going to the European court of justice cant have JUST been for Dubs now surely?
This sounds like what is now becoming traditional corporate multinational pressuring in the name of selling new products. They just want to stop cheap
imports period! Cars, clothes you name it.
Levi's did the same in Europe. Stopped people bringing in new jeans from Poland for sale in Germany. Even though the polish prices were cheaper than
German wholesale. That wasn't enough for Levi's though! They claimed to have the right to control the sales of second hand stuff with their label on
it in Europe. Nobody should be able to profit on their good name (even though they had gained the profits for the original sale). Again, used stock
was coming in from the states and being sold cheaper. They won in court, and were able to shut down importers of second hand clothing.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world! Yeah, right. In this case, it works in our favour, but seldom does it help anyone but the rich and
scrupel free.
