cleaning drums..


whats the best way to clean my brake drums.. i was thinking of dipping in a bit of acid, sandblasting, scrubbing with a wire brush.... whats the best way to clean these things?..

Sand blasting is the best ... try not to blast teh brake surface area mask it up if you can ... I am presuming you need to do this to paint the drums ??

Wash with soap n water first to remove gunk build up or even Kero wash if there greasy

no, dont want to paint, just want to clean them up, will mask up that bit, thanks for the reply..
