I can not get the fly wheel off
I am trying to remove the fly wheel from my 1600 twin port motor. It will not budge. I have tried a rattle gun, and 3/4 drive socket set. The main
problem seems to be that I can not lock the fly wheel well enought to get enough pressure on the nut.
Am I missing something. Is it a left hand thread. Any help or tips would be very much appriciated.

I got it. used some steel to wedge the fly wheel, then the 3/4 drive socket set and 3ft extension bar. Balance, hold your mouth just right and it came
undone. Thankfully.

get a 3ft piece of 30x6 flat bar and drill 2 holes to match the pressure plate holes ,bolt it on then attack it with a 36mm socket and extn bar dont
use the flywheel lock as you can break out the case where it bolts thru .this is the best method as you lock the flywheel directly ,and the gland nut
is normal r/h thread |
