on average how many litres of fuel doea a 1971 beetle chew per mile or km...

what type of oil is best for the engine and how often should i check it

hwy or street, what size donk,stock or not,wheels, tyres?

I used GTX2 in all my VW's.As for fuel use....I've never owned a standard one so can't help you out there..

and how do i get the fuel gague to work??????????


AND SHELL oil for old cars is that ok for now .....

i get about 10L to the 100km in my stock one at the moment. any oil is good mate it all comes down to preference

There is no bad oil. If your motor is in good nick, a 20W-50 will cover it. If it is a bit of an oil burner like our 1300, we put 30-60 as it is a bit thicker and doesn't leak out or burn as quick.

It only runs on 3 cylinders as it is really old now, but it still dak's along :)
