Fireman Bens Bug UPDATE
Gday guys well I have had to replace my stereo and my pop out windows finally arrived and look great. Stereo's apparently don't liike water coming
down from the windscreen wipers. I always learn things the hard way anyway I thought that I would post some picks so enjoy. I have nearly finished my
1970 project it is about 95% complete. As I have plans of doing something with the door trims and some other bits hear and there. Thanks for the
interest Ben DIckens

Could you u2u me on what made you have to replace your stereo? I just had to take my headunit in to be checked out, as it died on me, but the unit was

Well I found that water was running down through the perrished seals that the windscreen wipers are on. If you headunit plays up be sure to check
firstly the fuse in back of headunit even if it looks ok change with another. Sometimes they can become broken with a surge of power but very hard to
see. Second check that the power lead is good and has not broken or been bent and twisted. Finally check your earth, if you have done it like mine
and connected accessories power and unit power together ensure these still have a good contact to one another. I have placed a plastic bag over the
top of my new headunit so if water does get in it wont get damaged. If you have any other drama's contact me.

They are very hard to get on very, I am unsure of 1972 lights since mine are 1970. However place them inbetween the glass and the frame carefully
then tighten very slowly. Sorry I can't be of more help maybe ask one of the experienced vee dubbers on line as I am very new to the world. Good
luck and thanks for your comments. Ben Dickens
