big day out for the bay-towing
well tomorrow im going out to somerton about
6 hrs from me west near tamworth to pick up a
shorten splitty, not a big deal i hear you say but
it is a big deal for me as some have seen previous
that i will be taking my 74 bay with 800kg trailer in
tow up dorrigo through armidale & ben bolt country
pick up splitt then back through tamworth up bongil
bongil range to armidale then dorrigo down to belligen
pacific hwy homewood bound.
looking forward to bongil bongil its a backbreaker then
down dorrigo that will have the heart thumping & the brakes smoking.
have done this before but not to this extreme & all up
will be about 12 to 14 hrs as the crow flies.
love putting the 2ltr bay to the test thats what its all about (4wd give me a kombi any day)
this is a pic of the last pickup

Can I ask what sort of towbar you have on the bay and where it is fitted? I've seen tow bar mounts pulled out of the chassis rails from towing car
trailers, so I'm keen to know how you have yours installed. I'm just about to re-fit mine to the twin cab and I'd hope to use it for similar
towing needs when necessary. If not too much hassle, pics would be great.
Cheers
Craig
