Gear shift selecter on T3 and T1 boxes

Apparently Type 3 boxes have a hole drilled to the underside of the selector shaft for the linkage. Do L-Bug boxes have these holes top and bottom?

The L-Bug box I have does have this so Im wondering if it is factory or not and thus will work when putting into my Fasty.

Thanks

I love 242HP sleepers.

How many sets of lights does it take a $229k Carrera S to learn? UPDATE: Cayman S, M3, B4 now added to the list.

I put this box in a 69 Notch and from memory, i just changed the complete selector housing from a Type 3 box onto the L box. Maybe the front mount was different to the Type 3 .................. too long ago! Worked great with the taller diff ratio.

yes it will work providing the linkage grub screw is tighten up and lock wired to stop it rattling off.
