I just have the small sump with a finer gauze filter inside..
I think they help cool the oil....
as they are a heatsink with fins..
and if You have a large engine the larger ones are good..
CB Performance make some.....
I saw one was a low profile type even higher than My small sump....
You just have to remember that they are held on with those 8 small screws.... maybe 6 small screws ??
so if they hit anything.... they are history...
Now I'm scaring Myself ......
just don't use the nyloc nuts supplied as they leak...
oil comes down the thread.... original nuts...

Pobjoy, Berg deep sump, Frank Kleinig, Empi ( http://www.800luvbugg.com/shop?frame=2.17.5716 ). Everyone says that Stan Pobjoy's one works best, but with less
clearance than the others.

Yep that's right...........only adds about 500ml to the oil capacity.
They are designed for stopping oil surge in motor sport, and they are one of the only ones that do!
If you want increased oil capacity then best to go for a DEEP sump, not a POBJOY ANTI-SURGE sump.
Just depends on what you are doing with the car.:thumb

both street ones.
use the narrower ones for under 5500 rpm,(GB210)
use the wider street one for up to 8000rpm (GB210A)
difference in ground clearance between the two is not worth worrying about. width is different.

there was one on ebay, not sure if the auction has finished yet, it is the 210A

no probs, the main time to be warry of the sump is when rolling down off speed humps. as the back wheels roll off the hump, suspension bounce will see
the sumps bottom out,
as you no doubt know, the exhaust yells out when to stop when navigating driveways, slopes etc

the Pobjoy sump is only about 1 7/8in tall. + whatever height your sump plate is.
