turbo placement solution...
In most of the conversions with the ej20t, the turbo hits the firewall or tray area in the splitty where the tank sits. What i did today is simply
shorten the "up pipe" about 1 inch. The turbo will drop down and back, making the exhaust bend less severe, heaps more room on the inatke side which
is notoriously tight on early wrx and liberty motors, moves turbo away from pressure reg and mainly...helps it fit in.
Cut from the top down, and all the water and oil lines were retained with minor adjustment to their direction. The top turbo bracket was cut, bent and
rewelded to help keep the turbo in its new position.
I may bend up a couple to make it easier.

adaptor and flywheel fit well... may have another conversion in a couple of weeks to use the second.
Have you got a spare surge pot...I need another.

I am doing 7 pots I have you down for one .
I must say never in my life I have had so many Jobs on the go , all car related as well .
So far thats 10 new subaru Vws in 06 , with 7 of them in Perth .
Pauls KG is going to be one hell of a ride with 94 wrx motor I got for him .
