 Not happy

Hey guys,

Bad night last night for my car.
Went out last night but didn't take the beetle.
Got home about 11pm and my dad comes to see me.
He then proceeds to tell me that he drove my beetle to the shop to get some dinner
and he was leaving and another car backed into him (Damn Toyota Hilux).

Damage report:
Bonnet Dented cant open it yet
Right hand head light broken.

Probably be able to get dent out but need a new head light.
If anyones got a 70s headlight lying around let me know.

Car is still fine to drive but she just aint happy at the moment.
Poor thing.

Looks like the respray my be moved ahead now.

Richard.

That's the problem when you parents are still young enough to drive.

They should never be allowed to drive, unless they have a responsible adult with them.

On a similar note, stopped in to see friendly veedub mechanic and found out that the previous day a woman called in to ask where the nearest panel
beater was. Got instructions. Got back into crappy jappy sedan. Promptly reversed straight into Betty - black 63(?) beetle!!! Mechanic mate went for
two hour drive before he spoke (good job too!) SO now Betty has been compromised. Some people shouldnt be allowed to drive......

That's another good reason to drive a Kombi... if ya get hit by some Hilux or other equally crap car, at least there wil end up being just as many
dents in that shitbox!

Hmmm... gonna have to hurry up and pick up that bullbar off wayne..

On that note... people should lay off frikkin P platers... old "experienced" drivers i find can be just as bad and do some utterly stupid things
behind the wheel.

For instance, dad drove my Kombi to work for a week or so after the engine was put back in, and one night he comes home and calls the police then upon
listening to the converstation I learn that on the way back along the highway he encountered a drunk asshat swerving from shoulder to shoulder in an
Excel for about 5k's, and ried to catch up and run them off the road!!!... IN MYYYY KOMBI!!! :duh :cry

Thankfully Buttercup didnt have enough balls... but it's the principal!... If I did the same with his Pajero or BMW my head would be on a chopping
block! :puke

Some old people just have no common sense...

Thanks guys
we'll get by she is a a little sad though.
At least with the weather getting a bit warmer and with the tune she had she is running sweet.
Oh the other thing too a friends daughter wants to go in my beetle to her year 10 formal so that was flattering. Now just need to get her scrubbed up
again nice.
She deserves a few nice new bits and pieces after being attacked by a stupid hilux. I'll keep you posted on how the work goes.
