Electric conversion ADRs

Recently there was a thread about a KG that had been converted to electric drive and there was some discussion about whether or not it was possible to register such a car here in Oz.

There is an Austrlian Design Rule that applies to the conversion of, or the construction from new, of electric vehicles. It is National Code of Practice 14 (NCOP14)

Go to http://www.dotars.gov.au/roads/safety/bulletin/vsb_ncop.aspx

scroll down and then open NCOP14

I've been considering converting a car to electric as a town runabout for some time now. It may be my next project.

Ooops!. Sorry about the previous URL. Dot gov, not dot com. It's all fixed now.
