type 3 carby help


hi guys ,ive got a 1500 type 3 twin port coming for my baja and what i want too know is what would be a good carb setup for it ,,thanx guys


sorry guys for some reason i thought it was a 1500 but looking at photos of the buggy its in its a twin port ,cause its runnin duals now but i think the carbs wont be with it ,the guy will need them for his new donk,plus im getting it for nothin so ide say there wont be carbs ,she blows a little smoke so ill get new rings and get the heads done and maybe depending on price get bigger valves for a little help on power

I think you must either have a 1600 twin port or a 1500 single port. There was no 1500 twin port.
And carbs? How about the standard ones?
If not, on a standard motor Kadrons would work well. Don't bother with the big single carb setups.. they rarely work well.

Kadron's don't like leaning up/downhill - the flood the engine - so if you actually off-road your Baja, it may not like it

Not sure if the same problem exists with the std Type 3 carbs...? But on-road will be great after you have set-up the linkages to suit Upright T1 fan housing, if that's what you're doing

there's a mob in sydney fitting brand new type 3 carbs to trikes. I was looking at one down at Klaack motors in fairfield a while back. apparently it works really well and trikes are known for wheelstands. I would have thought they'd ok on angles too as they are just like a pict beetle carbie which lots of offroad guys have used.
