Rust Bullet Prep? and Heater channel
Has anyone here used Rust Bullet? Prep wise I'm looking at the underside of my panel (the pan), from what I've read it's a case of sand/wire brush
off the loose stuff, blow it clear with some compressed air.......add paint. Is it this easy? It's not like Por-15 with the anal prep, I thought this
might be a good option for a bus that I can't really move at the moment. The Rust Bullet came at $50 for about 1lt, so I thought it was worth a
shot.
I'm working on getting the underside and mechanicals sorted before I tackle the body ( seems good to the naked eye, but god knows what's hiding!!!
). Waiting on rust repair sections for the bit inside the wheel arches behind the front tyres. Teaching myself to mig on old panels while I wait! A
few to many blow throughs atm.... learning curve is good but
Second thought of the day, regarding heater channels..... I've got the blanket cover off of mine and they seem to be in good condition except for the
section just after the Y junction that needs a rust repair. Any ideas on tube that I can weld in? ....... or do I need to hammer the crap out of some
flat around an old fence post to get the right diameter?
