Seats - 76 Kombi
Open to all suggestions on new/newer front seats to fit a 76 Kombi, preferably with the least amount of modifications (and estimated cost please)

Some of the early T3 (square shaped) Kombi seats will slide on your original seat rails and are a bit nicer to sit on than originals.
Check the wreckers for some. Just double check they'll fit before you buy them!

Or alternatively, spend the money with a good upholsterer. They can reshape the seats for more support if needed.

Shucks, I knew you'd ask that.
Not entirly sure, but I think it was all the air cooled ones which went to '84 or '85 or there abouts.
Maybe if some T3 owners on the forum can measure the width of the rails for you?

Andy, do you know if the type 3 Kombi seats will also fit a 1969 Kombi? Thanks

ive got RX3 buckets in mine. very comfy, small enough. as for mounting, on the drivers side i am bolting on the lower part of a kombi seat and will
upolster over it when i redo the upolstery so there is full movement and a stock look. on the passenger side i am using a set of Ford Laser rails as
they seem to be the same as the RX3 rails and are completely removable. one side bolts to the seat, one to the wheel arch and an equal height bracket
and bingo u have a seat that has full movement and the runners are similar enough to the kombi drivers side ones to look stock.

Thanks for the suggestion but don't think it'll be anything before Valla as the piggy bank is feeling rather light at the moment!!
About to get rims sandblasted and powdercoated before Nambucca plus gotta put aside fuel money etc for the trip. Will see how we go
