Clearences
What do i set the valves at in a stock 1600c engine.
Cheers for a fast response as im doing it now and in my haynes and vw book they are both different.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has two books with different clearances!! My early book for my '72 Super stated 4 thou and my haynes says 6 thou.
It took a genius (not me) to point out that VW had changed the clearances during the early 70's for 1600tp because of stretched valves.
