How much is it worth?
Hi I came across a bug for sale and am unsure what I should offer and if I should even bother.
It is a 70 convertible with roll cage, unregisterd, they say its good mechanically just in need of a service and tune. They say it was their daily
runner but they have upgraded and deregistered it and left it sit for 6 months.
I have asked about a engineering certificate but have had no reply.
If it has a engineering certificate what would be a fair price?
Any help would be great Thankyou

mmmmmm........... bugger all
You definitely want engineers certificate
Also the top needs to be good
They are a pain to replace as it is really a custom job
There are plenty of really good chop tops registered, with engineers certificate and not sold on carpoint for say $4k - $5k
So - sold ones sell for less
This one is unregistered and needs work
If the motor was in tip top condition and NO RUST (unlikely in a chop) $1000 - $1,500

maybe $500 for the parts value.
car forums. where a lot of peoples good intentions end up taking a good old car off the road forever never ever to see the road again.
