superbug wheel bearing problem


hi guys
okay a mate of mine wes has had his wheel bearings replaced and the tyre is hitting the strut now ............... havent seen the car but it got standard rims and hasnt hit before wat could this be is there a spacer which might be missing and if it counts its l/h drive maybe the bearings are different. any help would be great

Was he just driving along and this happened or was it like after reassembleing?

Sounds like the spacer has been left out or the wrong size bearing fitted. ie too big ID of bearing.I suggest you pull it apart again and check the inner sleeve ( although i would think the disc would lock up without it) and the bearing numbers old against new

No spacers in the front, but does sound like the wrong size bearings are fitted
the bearings changed sizes when disc brakes started from memory
