removing clutch collar

Hey Guys,

Just a quick qeustion, is it possible to cut the collar off an early model clutch and use it on a late model tranny? I assume no but I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work.

Thank You
Nicolas

Yes you can, some diaphram pressure plates the ring is removable with a spiral lock, others you need to grind out the crimp that holds the ring on.

Thanks Matt,

Thought it should work but was curious if anyone had done it before.

Thank You,
Nicolas
