Gear box rebuild in Sydney?
Hi everyone.
Where would be the best place in Sydney to have a 091 kombi box rebuilt? I have one that I need to have done for my kombi.
Thanks,
Alex.

Also, does anyone know roughly what a rebuild would be worth? Trying to decide if I have mine built or find a good used replacement.
Thanks.

VVDS, Boris would be able to build you a good box.
Build cost really depends on what you want done but going on a VWMA issue where he had his box rebuilt (not the drag racer) it was $1000+
Cheers

As Owen said. Schimo built mine too. Nice guy, very experienced, does them in his sleep, but there is usually a waiting list. I waited a month or so
for mine.
Adrian Muller from Kombi Rescue at Annangrove also does them, as does Hans Klaack from Klaacks at Fairfield and I think Brendon at Production
Automotive at Penrith does too.
