Classic VWs in Video Games
Hi all,
I thought it would be good to have a thread that had all the VW sightings in video games that we have found so that there is something to do when the
wallet is empty or it is too cold to go to the garage and pull apart a gearbox.
Here is a list that I have put together of ones that I have found. Sorry to all the watercooled fans - but golfs are a lot more common in video games
and I haven't kept track of them as well.
V8 Super cars 3 - Baja bug racing
Gran Turismo 4 - 1949 Beetle 1100
Gran Turismo 5 - 1949 Beetle 1100, 1966 Beetle, Split screen Kombi, Schwimmwagen, Kubelwagen
Forza 4 - 1963 Beetle
Death Rally - 6v Beetle
Blur - Split window beetle
Driver San Fransisco - 1963ish beetle
rFactor racing - Downloadable modification for Beetle Funcar racing
Test Drive Unlimited 2 - 1976ish beelte unlockable
GTi Racing - Representatives of most of the volkswagen range up to Golf Mk5 including the Nardo W16 concept, split kombi, every golf including country
editions, 6v Beetles and New Beetles.
Beelte Racing Adventure - Nintendo 64 with New Beetles
Herbie Fully Loaded - Nintendo DS
Bug Mania/Kafer Manie/Beetle Crazy - late 60s beetles
Carmageddon Total Destruction Racing - Early 60s Beetle
Plus I found a website that had listed
Penny Racers - Beetles
Cruis'n World - Late 60s beetles
I think there was also one in GTA 4, though I'm not sure. It is a bit sad that I could name most of these off the top of my head, but being a gen y
er I guess it is easy to talk about what you know.
Any others to add to the list?

theres spit window kombi's in grand theft auto san andreas i think its also vw golfs in it also

yeah gta 1 had a bug
omg Carmageddon .... i spend way to much time playing this game as a kid running over grannies
still have all my old game dam i wish i could get all that time back !!!

Really going back here, but in Need for Speed 2 on the old Play Station 1 there were cheat codes to unlock all the regular traffic cars which had an
Lbug, a type 3 Fastback and a T25 Caravelle.
