52 turbo split mild bug

I finally took the 52 bug to the track, well air strip for our first race in it. We turned the boost down to 12ish, didn't change any tuning. Added some race fuel & raced old school, didn't use stage brake etc. No burn out. Funny American car with the stick shift on the wrong side 🙂 ran a 8.825sec, 1.745 60FT, reaction .387. the VW drove very good, I only hit the 6300rpm shift light in first , didn't notice until we watch the video. 😂 felt heaps good. .

I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!

Why dont you just build one of those big engine boxes like other cars have, the LMS car has one

You wouldn't need to hurt the car in anyway, just use existing holes to mount it on

I don't blame you a bit for not modifying the split . I like seeing the engine out in the open and it cools alot better .

Had a day out at Gunnedah air strip on the 1/8th mile
2 day event, Rose only raced on the Sun 3 practice runs and 3 rounds won 6 out of 6 races came first in B class
What a great day out 🙂
