Been holding on for 8 years now without bog, and we've built 2 of our own little bugs in the Garage.
Wouldn't recommend German blokes, they kinda suck generally, but you might want to try a South American model, maybe a Frenchie, or a Spanish dancing stallion?

God these models must be rare.....haven't come across one of them yet here.
Just look for one with decent mileage & no former owners baggage in the boot.
Full history & service record a must.

Hey I know of a good 69 model. I am told they are the best year to get. Been driven very hard and is starting to show signs of wear and tear but still keeps up with all the new models😀:P

far from being 100% reliable...definately not a smooth ride so far...thought the bagagge on the back seat wouldn't bother me...but now i need a little leg room and its starting to bother me....

I'm a 70 model but I think I was manufactured in late 69, currently unreg, No rust as I don't drink water. Have had some outer body damage from the odd knock in the car park but nothing unfixable, don't blow any smoke, currently in a dark colour, have Etag
Some say I don't look too bad for a shaved monkey (is this Good?)
I know some people that would love to get rid of me very cheap!!
