Good luck! Have to laugh as i did the same when i was cleaning my engine lid whilst watching tv on Sunday! I used some prepsol which got it off a beige carpet. Worked but maybe a carpet spot cleaner may be less harsh

dont know if it would work but i know it doesnt stain.

my mum always uses washing powder in warm water, gets just about anything out, but im not sure about grease, worth a shot though.

Go to a carpet shop & ask for a product called 'drisol' (pronounced dry sol)

I don't know if it's available to the public, we used to get it as tradesmen.
It's the only stuff I know will remove grease or oil.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

I thought you were building your engine in the lounge for a moment there N! haha...

Wax and grease remover|prepsol is the best to use, but try on a small area first to test... and when its all clean afterwards use dishwashing liquid to wash the wax and grease out(it will eat through the fibres otherwise)

Glad you're safe and got away from the cops though....I'll pickup the stuf from the safezone....

I did my CV's a couple of weeks ago, and someone walked little dots of grease onto the house carpet. We used a pair of nail scissors and cut the little globs out. Worked fine, and you can hardly see the bald spots at all!

Good tips from everyone else tho'! Taa!

Preen. Test first, but I've always found it a miracle in a can. Spray it on and wipe it over with a warm wet cloth to soak it out.

Appearantly works a treat on oil and grease on overalls too, but that's probably an old wives tale...

Apparently, if you wipe a bit of cat crap onto another part of the carpet, the grease spot's don't seem to be as important an issue anymore?

Never tried it tho'!
