Just wondering if any splitty owners are running extractors and what fits a lowered bus.
I would like a stainless exhaust but I dont know what will fit as my bus is quite low

Cheers
Dave

I run just the normal large flange Thunderbird extractors with a tuck away muffler that fits up under the guard on my ute. doesn't hit anything and has good clearance.

Dave,

Have a look at the latest copy of Ultra VW (Issue 11). there is a lowered straight axle conversion candy red splitty in there that is running extractors and a turbo muffler.

Cheers

Steve

Found this link but not much help on the muffler:-

shouldn't cost too much to get a custom job from the header flange.
just go to your friendly local exhaust shop and get them to fit it up.

Have been onto SSP who have replied with the following
"a single quiet pack or a turbo muffler are the most popular with the sqp having slightly better ground clearance".
We had ours ceramic coated by a Brissy company who charged $200 for the complete system, looks good too and cuts down the heat in the engine area
