Yeah im pretty disappointed with the labour party in this campaign. I think they lost because they couldnt really give any reason for australians to switch, no one likes change especially when we have been in the boom period of the economic cycle. The labour policies were all over the place and were unfocused unlike the libs. They were trying to be too much like the liberals and lost their normally large primary vote. With a recession on the forecast and a probably liberal control of the senate the next election should be interesting...

particularly if cross media ownership laws are relaxed and fairfax gets bought out, we might see a a more right slant to the media. Also without the checks and balances of the senate (with the balance of power looking like it might be held by a pentecostal church group) some not so nice legislation is going to get passed.

I dont want the united states of australia 🙁

Hmmm 5 days ago there was nothing to worry about, just vote liberal. Now... a message from the governor of the state of Australia. http://au.news.yahoo.com/021212/2/i77q.html

Seems the oil prices we pushed up are a serious threat and we are going to have cuts to other areas of government spending. Only 5 days until the first lie (or at best a 'mistruth')

It wasnt me.
