I dont surpose some good samaritan would like to send me a couple of headlight screws? The ones that hold the headlight in at the bottom of the ring on a late bug or T3?

My Square is a 69.

I seem to be missing some on the squareback.

Will happily cover the postage.

Cheers.

Guys, The screw I was very kindly sent is the wrong one.

I still have a loose headlight.

Anyone else got a spare screw they can send? (at my cost of course)

Cheers!

If you have one (or even a shorter one) take it to a nuts and bolts shop and they will be able to match them. I have taken heaps of bolts etc into them and always walked out with exactly what I need for the fastie and the baja.

they should be the same as on a beetle headlamp
1968-76 as chromed ring is the same..
they are a special screw.. c/sunk head [phillips]
stainless steel 5mm metric fine thread
measured end to end is 51mm long

on the early beetles 1968>
the screw was held in the chrome ring by a metal sleeve

later ones were loose...

the type 3 screws should be the same... IMHO

they have a phillips head countersunk [stainless steel]
and are 5mm OD x 51mm long end to end
there is a locating bit on the end to find the threaded hole

sorry, I couldn't post a pic camera is acting up...?

I'm just replacing one of My headlamps...

they are countersunk headed screws

they sit into the chromed headlamp rim hole

which is fairly large..

very similar to tail lamp screws only much larger..
