did the clean up, paint and fit of my twin kadrons today with the assistance of dave becker (cheers mate).

after some initial delays with me installing a few things upside down during the rebuild we were set to install.

after swearing and cursing while removing the old single set up, we scoured the shed for the parts i was missing and set about installing them.

After painting the manifolds a pretty shade of yellow, they now look black from the oil and crap on our hands (leason learnt about painting things in the engine anything other than black) we had them set up and running and with a few fiddles with the mixture screws and idle i was off to enjoy the world of a little extra power.

there were a few stalls at the lights but they seem to be running really sweet now.

can't wait for the nationals drags to see how they go.

Once again cheers Dave for your help, i think i owe you are fair few of these :beer:beer:beer
Lee.

very true kikko, there are some people out there that are just purely good people and are extremely helpful.

i can guarentee that my bug would not look anything like it does with out Daves help.

From memory Dubba you have the twin 45mm DCNF webbers back on because the Dells ran like shit.

the little Kads are so much more reliable than both of them.

Would there be any benefit to going to dual carbs on a stock 1300?

You too can make into the 21st century, leave those nasty old carbs behind. If you sold your Kadrons, you'd have more than half the money you need for EFI, think about it...😉
