A baja is a beetle trying to be a buggy ( I wouldn't mind one though!)

Bajas are for those who are scared they will melt if they get wet. And OH for those who have wives/girlfriends/significant others, that will not LET them have a buggy.
.
My eldest son is wanting a buggy for his first car and I'm trying to persuade him to get a baja ( I don't want him to get wet!)
a baja is a poor man's buggy:P
buggys are just dreaming of being like there big brother the baja!!!!!!
steff....................
Life with out a v-dub is no life at all!!!!!
Baja,s are for those that want to still be waiting at the bottom of the hill waiting for the buggys to come back.
Don't let body work get in the way of real suspension travel
But andrew baja drivers are mad and try and drive over buggys and the TOWD and then get out and shake the lumps out
You only need two tools
Wd40 if it don't move and it should
Duct tape if it move's and it shouldn't

Mate as a Baja owner you just hit the nail on the head when you said TRY you know you will never beat the towd in a baja. :thumb
😉

Buggy's ARE the final evolution....
- '71 Kombi (Died 24/11/05😢 ) - '65 manx (smick) -'63 beetle (bent) -'73 Singlecab (new to the stable)
bajas are for driving grandma to the pharmacy.
buggys are for driving the hot shiela up the street (in more way then one)😀
everything dies baby, thats a fact..
maybe everything that dies one day comes back..
put your make up on and your hair up pretty..
and meet me tonight in Atlantic city..
buggies are for people having a mid-life crisis who feel the need to feel the wind in their hair while they've still got some.
In traffic a buggy has all the disadvantages of a motorbike - no luggage capacity, you get wet, you get cold, you get hot, you get sunburnt, if you hit a landcruiser your probably going under it.
But they have none of the motorbike advantages. Instead they have the disadvantages of a car, slow (relative to a motorbike), crap economy (again relative to a bike), can't split traffic, can't park for free in the city etc.
Me, I'd rather have my motorbike and my Baja.
As for the buggy being for the Sheila up the road, I reckon my Baja gets more attention from the girls than any buggy would 🙂

buggies and bajas are for beetle owners who need to compensate :party
Have the same noise comming from any buggy and anyone will look.
I don't know why every one has so much trouble with space in a buggy. I can pack more into my buggy than into my beetle without sacrificing comfort.
I don't get burnt. i have a hardtop on mine, and i still get the wind in my hair:P

I HATE rust.
Buggies don't rust
(Buggy still has metal floorpan but heaps less hidden rust-friendly spots. Most Bajas rust in the body like doors and pillars not the floorpan / suspension)

Baja's are more versatile. I'll bet that there are more baja's being used as daily drivers (when mine's running it is...) than buggies.

Buggies are cooler, baja's are more practical.
I like em both.

so lets start cooking!
go buy a real offroader! landcruiser baby!
For andy why do i need to beat one went i can just drive over one and i dont have to go down the fiberglass shop the next day and get a new body for me or the car. As for the landcruiser well ah lets just say each to his own hay.
And if anyone wants to start a fight some just say somthing about air first water but dont as we are all fighting for the same side here.
And wes that about nails it if you want to get wet and dirty pull the bike out of the shed if not jump in the baja
