just really pissed off as i had family come an have a look at my kombi last tuesday and wanted it agreed on a price and went and got a pink slip as that was what they wanted money out of my pocket an then ring them on saturday an they say will be here 12pm tuesday to pick it up!! meanwhile get a phone call at 11pm today (i had to leave work early both days so lost money there) saying they dont want it cause parts are too hard to get or some real lame excuse meanwhile i have had about 10 phone calls about it saying oh what a shame and people saying they will come nd pick it up for a higher price then with this previous buyer :repuke:repuke :@:@:@ this has made me so pissed off

I hate selling cars, it is just such a pain in the rear end. I find it too stressful so I just trade mine in. I lose money, but in the end my time and sanity is far more valuable.

organised a dream deal on a set of 44mm webers, talked him down to $600 , rang him to organise a time and day to pick them up and what do you know ,sold them to someone else for original price. I was fairly dirty about that one.(still are )

When we sold our 25 year old kombi for the princely sum of $1200 people were expecting a brand new car! They moaned and picked holes in it and one bloke even wanted to pay weekly!!! My brother gets the a similar thing with selling his 924, he advertises it as a 924 and then people complain to him that it's not a 911 as if that's his fault:duh:duh

ive spent over 20k on my ej, had a girl call and ask how much i wanted, when i said arount 12k, she asked if i would take 4k:duh
When I originally was looking for an IRS pan, I found one for sale down the gong, I went on down with my misses. I looked over it and it was what I needed, all ready to go. We eventually settle on a price $100 less than he was originally asking. I asked him where an ATM was so that I could get a deposit and he goes it's ok it's not going anywhere, I kept insisting but he said it's alright. I then offer to give him my mobile number, just incase something happens but he didn't want it and he says it's alright.
So I said that I would be back on Saturday with a car trailer (it was a thursday when I looked at it) to pick it up and exchange the money.
So after organising a car with a tow ball and getting a car trailer I drive off from Sydney down to the gong.
I pull up outside his house, he comes out and says "your too late it went last night"
I said what do you mean we had an agreement, I said that I would give you a deposit blah blah blah.
He's gone "sorry mate" I got so fired up with that sorry crap that all I wanted was to crack this guy in the head (and I'm not a violent man) for wasting my time, effort, money as well as all the people that I put out to arrange this.
All this because $100 was all too precious to him.....the clown!!!

The process and your treatment sucks but if you look at legislation regarding the sale of used cars it is a requirement to supply a pink slip with sale of a registered vehicle.
I have a couple of People check my 58 Beetle last Monday
didn't even bother to call just make sure who ever put the money gets the car.:sandrine

i had the pink slip for this rego but the pick slip was for the next rego coming up at the end of april so all they needed to do was pay greenslip and rego fee inspection already done!

Some people expect so much in a second hand car. I had a corolla which was in good condition and would go like the clappers. Some bloke turns up looks at a few white marks on the bumper and says "it's not a clean as I thought". Unbelievable!
History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.
Had the same thing happen to me a week ago on the splitty, guy on the forum by the user name of preacherman said he wanted to buy the splitty, sight unseen, asked me to organise transport to NSW which I did and said he was going to put money in my bank account, didn't go in first day excuse was internet banking playing up, said he was going to put in next day, another excuse why he hadn't yet, will defianately put in next day.....Still no money, no phone call on reason why.
