I am from Ipswich and it would be great to organise people to meet up and convoy it down to Klubfest this year! So any VW's around Ipswich or Brisbane area we should arrange a meeting point halfway..who would be in for that?

Hey I am still wanting to know who here is from ipswich/Brisbane/Gold Coast and wants to meet up and convoy it down! We could meet on the Ippy motorway at the BP station just past Goodna? Anyone have any suggestions?
Foxy
It's not that far for a decent convoy, and we're all hopeless last minute freakout types, so don't get your panties in the proverbial. It's more fun to just drive with these central events, and see people by chance. The informal "howdy stranger" convoy as it were.
Tazz'll go with you probably if your desperate. For most of us, Goodna is in the opposite direction. How many other Ipsnatchians are there on here anyway???
BTW - you're travelling north east, so it's technically not down.
I dont own a VW anymore, so I think Im out of the picture.
Im getting a 2002 Tranny soon though, but think I am still out of the oldskool zone...

Oooh, hummm...I didn't realize how close this place is. And my knicker aint in a proverbial thank you very much!
Bloody men...up...down...all the same thing to me. Maybe you should take that carrot outta your a**e.
How can a Tranny be only 3 years old? Technically they shouldn't be having sexual identity crises until puberty or thereabouts?!?!
arrggghhh...your from mount tamborine....that says it all ;-)
Please don't be offended. It's just that damn carrot is so tight!!! I get all surly then!
Yeah I guessed it was the carrots fault.......:jesus
Yes, the carrot is much better than a regional seat of residence slur. That stuff is only tres chic for the U13's and drunkard set's.
And, let's face it, living in Ipswich is kinda like living in a glass house and throwing SCUD missiles isn't it?
I'm harmless, just ask anyone!
vwombat your headed for a beating!!! I am taking carrots to Klubfest so watch out!!!!!
im at loganholme so going down redland bay rd to mt cotton rd then into the back of capalba,,,can meet at the end of the logan motor way logan end or the bp at yatla
Cool, Maybe I will have the Squareback on the road by then. I will try to make it anyway....
Is it the park next to the pub.
How about if a group gets together from Ipswich that travels along the Cunningham, turns onto Granard rd at Rocklea, then traverses across to the Mt gravatt/Caplaba Rd. So long as the group meets up and sets off from somewhere in Ipswich at around 0900 to make it to Dinmore (where the Cunningham and the Warrego meet) at say 0915, that way if we travel at the speeed limit (80km/hr) people who know the route can wait along it and join up as we go.
You see, for me I would catch the ferry over and wait just past the on ramp feed at Riverview about 0900 just to make sure I caught the group.
I figure with Sunday morning traffic being slim, except for around churches, it should only take about 10 minuntes to Rocklea, then about 15 mins to upper Mt Gravatt, and another 10 mins to Capalaba and the site.
That way I figure we would make it to the site around 0950, pleanty of time to sit and chat before they open the gates.
Why get there early you ask?
Because I have never heard of traffic letting people get soemwhere early, only later...
thoughts anyone?
(as for me, I am hoping that both my type three will be driveable and that I will be allowed to drive by that date)
