71 mark i ford escort two door coupe...in jag red.

I worked at auto eletrics, and owner & I had a 3 phase bet, which if i won he had to give me a car...

Well I won....

he went looking thru grass in a paddock as high as himself for the bastard car....found it, towed it with a tractor back to cement, and said heres the car, motors over there...go for it....

I did, and after 4 months got it up and running...then boyfriend 'borrowed' it one nite and mangled it...NOT HAPPY JAN!

A red Ford Laser ???? I sold my 68 bug for a red ford laser. The damn thing was nothing but trouble .... smashed it 3 times, never had an accident before it and never had an accident again (wrote if off 9 years ago!)......

I learnt my lesson about red ford lasers !

I learned to drive in a '72 1600 Kombi Dormobile camper. But my first car was a 1300cc LC Torana 4cyl. My second car was a Renault 16TS, which I used in club events. I won a few awards in that thing too!

my first car was a beetle, a blue/green one. there was plenty of argument about whether it was green or blue. if anyone has seen this colour before and knows if it was green or blue, please let me know. when we brought it for $300 it was in good nick, but out of rego. we pulled bits off it to make it bush basher suitable. i wish we hadn't. otherwise i would have had a road car when i get my lisence (spelling?).

then i got the one i have now for free. it was bushbasher only material, and we transfered over most running gear from the old one (except for the gearbox). it been fun but unreliable. but despite breakdowns being...... ummm..... commonplace, and it sitting near the shed now waiting for a endine rebuild, i cant bring myself to sell it. i almost did once but am glad i didn't

A baby blue 1971 Hillman Hunter. Very cute ( I HATE CUTE ). Had it for about 8 months and sold it to buy a TC Cortina. Never again. What a piece of crap.

Still searching for a beetle or 2 at the moment.

My first car was a 1970 white VW, my Dad bought it for me in 2001 two months b 4 I got my license!! 😀 I loved it and had sooo many plans for it. But it had been thrashed by the previous owners, they had taken it offroad and it had quite a bit of rust through the pillars and chassis.

I went from that to a brand new mirage! hehe.

Nothing beats a VW though...people just don't get it

Mine is the car I own now, "Olive". 1974 Beetle, 'martini' colour with a whole lot of dents and a bit of rust. Dad paid $2300 for her three and a bit years ago (I still owe him the full amount)

a 1967 datsun 1000....3 speed colum shift with a 1200 engine in it!!and did i have some good times in that car!!!!i still miss it...i hit a kangarro with it doing about 120kph(dad fixed this).then i got hit on the side by a council truck 5 am in the morning(he ran a red light!!!!)which pushed the side in about half a meter(with 2 mates in the car...one guy already had a cast on his arn and he took the most impact..passenger side)

dad also fixed this.....and finally on a split shift (while i was a cook)going back to work with a mate on the passenger side......just left the bosses house after having a smoke😉i remembered that i needed fuel 5 metres before the servo entrance while i was driving 80 kph i turned into the high curbed entrance and rolled the car 3 times(just one of the 7 cars that i have ridden off in my fairly young life....)but after this the roof was more or less crushed.

me,my mate and my boss that was following, turned the car over back on its wheels and drove it back to the bosses house.after that it rested at our house for abour 6 years untill dad finally had it removed...very emotional time of my life:o

just waqnted to add that this was the first car that i had registered and driven but i bought my first car when i was 12 ..which is the restored 58 beetle that we still have today(bougt it running for $200 after writing on the windscreen our number as the owners wernt home)the owner got his sons to call us as he thought that it was a joke that someone wanted to buy his car???that was the first car that i bought but the datsun was the first car that i ever drove( learnt to drive😀)
