Just trying to get the date fixed up, location will probably be Byron, Cleveland, Bribie or Southern Sunshine Coast. Open to ideas.
Although this will be an official Kombi Club run, we invite other clubs to join us and make it a very special weekend.
We want to make it suitable for families but also for the lager louts among us, I mean you!!!

ok Roy - I'll do some checking out and then get the info to you - it's at Newmarket up here in Brisbane - Friday night hang out and not sure if you have to pre plan and book with them. Maybe going there Friday week with the northern suburbs hot rod club to do a full check out as only seen it on the news.

Started a seperate thread for Nimbin Kombi Convoy anyone wanting to travel down there.
We are meeting omn the Gold Coast at 9.30am 30th April 2005
Anyone starting off from further North could organise to meet at a convenient spot.
Plan is to meet up with Klub VW at Byron and then head off to Lismore.
We could also make it a weekender as Judy is organising a cruise the next day.
Still to get to Harry's as work has caused interruptions to this plan. With luck it will be today and I'll post in the pm 😉

Had a chat with Traumin today about the Kombi Club.
We are looking at a site for a 'Picnic' day on the Gold Coast for 7th May and then possibly a cruise.
Anyone interested please come along.
Nimbin Convoy - From the Gold Coast meeting at 9.30am at the Caltex Garage after the Reedy Creek junction heading South (next to the Scrap yard). To Byron first and then to Lismore and Nimbin.

Hi dudes, A bus club or register is a great idea...we over here in the West tried it as a slplinter off NoH2o a few years back..@ that stage we had 30 splits @ our informal gathering (annual Kite festival show, Freo).
I called it Old Speed Bus registery.
The reason i tried this is because although we had this many busses, i knew of so many more, some show quality, that had never been seen by our members..some of these dudes parked there busses a block away and walk to see our crusties on display??
My contribution to the name would be not to follow SSVC as kombis are not vans, THEY ARE BUSSES..the original. Good luck and let Humpty know (NoH2o)when you have more info, we`ll try to get a registry over here again..cheers Kieran
Chris over at Idle Wild in Malaga WA is willing to be a focal point for any bus collective over there, while he dosen't want to tread on any clubs toes he would like to lend a hand wherever possible.
