I have been pretty religious about my food intake, and I've lost about 3 kg since the first post. Hwoever, I can feel it slowing down as I've not done any exercise beyond the car park being a long way away.
I already drink lots of water, so that's not going to help. Portion control is also under control as well.
I'd recommend you all have a look at is the Food Doctor Diet - it's a portion controlled, low GI balanced approach to food intake. There's no real fads in there beyond the low GI component, but honestly, that's why this approach is working for me rather than the very similar WW program. It is basically a low fat approach to correct feeding. About 30-35% protein, the rest is low GI complex carbs and minimal bad fats. Plus I love the way it sets you up properly - five small meals rather than three big uns, coupled with no high GI foods after 3 pm. You can have high GI simple carbs, just not all the time.
Need to join the gym at the Docklands so I have no excuses not to exercise.

In the last month i have lost no weight, but my body fat percentage has come down to 19.5%.
Which i am told is not to bad.
And my pants fit a hell of alot better too.
Right in time to fit into my uniform for anzac day too which is a bonus🙂

That sounds like some good advice. I am going to have to join a gym too, or run around Hyde park in my lunchbreak

See that yoga has done to you Barls... it's turned you soft! lol
As for my weight loss effort... well I haven't done anything. My time is taken up by the kids so much that I don't even think about what goes in my mouth and when I get a break I just flake out and sleep. Does sleeping count as exercise if you toss and turn alot? lol
no it only counts if you (censored for the greater good) when in bed. no actually id have to have feeling to turn soft which i dont.

sleeping will count if you can get your metabolic rate up high..
then watch the excess fall off you!

I just have pure lazy running thru my veins. I need a cattle prod under my arse to get anything done.
i now ride the long way around to work of an afternoon... its around 10kms i think, in 45 minutes (depending on pedestrian traffic and how many people open their doors on me)
its been a week of doing this and im not even breaking a sweat!! its also not so much of a mission to ride home of an evening (all uphill)
im going to join the uni gym (mostly for the crosstraining machines and the yoga/pilates classes... which nicely fit into my schedule) and also the uni pool... heated year round goodness!
all in all, im toning up pretty good 😀

this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

That sounds like a good plan andrew which is working for you, I heard that once we get used to our exercise patterns we have alternate them and increase the stamina. I have found that just by planning a menu for the week of what I am going to make I eat more healthy! It's working really well and I feel more organised 🙂 As for weight loss I have only lost 1 kilo since we started this thread.
:sandrine Anyway time to get my daily fix of H & A!!
xx
I am respoking a wheel in one of my bikes, the path cruiser so I can start more riding. No time to mtb at the mo....🙁

How's everyone doing? Ive been running consistently 3 times a week, 2 runs of 6km doing intervals/efforts and one longer "easy" run which is up to 12km tomorrow. Feeling heaps fitter and doing it far easier than a couple of months ago. And been watching "le tour de france" for some motivation, those guys are supreme athletes.
Cheers

I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!
Found a really good workout for VW bufffs..
Buy a kombi (not running), have it delivered to the bottom of you long uphill driveway..
Then dont ask anyone to help you push it up the hill...
When it gets really hard to push get two rocks and a big lever,,
Next lever the old kombi up the hill,, one inch at a time..
Took me 2 and half hours.... phew !! good workout though!!
Good luck to all on a health binge...
Ps. I'm a Vego and you can still gain weight !
Pps. If you wanna give a Maccas watch "SuperSize Me" It will put you off for a while...

look at this site ,
http://www.ultralite.com.au/index.php ,it works my partner went from size 22/24 to size 8 a 46kg loss in 10 months, her story will be published on the site soon ..it involves a bit of walking, a lot of water and willpower
I only started a few weeks back. All began with a taunt about gym junky wife and city to surf run. So I signed us both up to do it, and she isnt as cocky as she was. Just received my gear today. If you see a guy laying flat on his back about 5kms in (number is 40863) and paramedics desperately trying to bring him back to life.... that will be me.

I tried ultra light last year and I will admit it is a good program. I only kept it up for 1 week tho when i was supposed to do it for 4 weeks. In that 1 wk I lost 4 kilos and have still kept it off and have taken off a few more kilos since this thread was started. It's all to do with having your body in ketosis and burning your own fat. But I am doing it the good ol' way, going to weight watchers with my mum. I have also hired a treadmill that I have been using the last 2 months.
So all is going well. How has everyone else been going?
