Woo! My new struts are on the way. From V-Force, 4" lowered with eccentric strut tops and gas inserts. These babies should be a nice upgrade for my ride. I should have them in before the Jamboree on the 17th so all you folk coming along can have a gawk🙂
Saw them in the nude before the coat of pain and assembly and they look the piece then.
They look the guts ducks now they are together!
Your L is going to look schmick!
Futue te ipsum!!!
Eyelids went on today. These are the biggest pain to fit! I had to snip and bend then to shape. Horrible job but it turned out all right.
Speachless
Struts look absolutly the ........... again speachless
and green with envy
Its a pity I am over budget with my daughters but we will see what happens
Will try and get to the Jam and look at this machine

Thanks for the great compliment! I know what budgets are like🙁 I just save and spend in little amounts. Maybe in 5 years I'll have it like I want🙂 You gotta have patience!
Woo! Lowered with new wheels! Thanks heaps to Richard at V-force who got them to me in time for the Jamboree! I think it looks quite nice now.
NICE!!
Looks like you mean buisness - in a nice way!
Futue te ipsum!!!
Thanks Barry.
There is so much more to do but it's getting there. I try and do at least one more thing new on it for each show, even it is just little.
I think it's really cool when you go to shows and see the same car but it has something new done to it, much nicer than seeing the same cars (nice as they may be) exactly the same each show.
Eden.
very nice man!
Sweet bug mate, checked it out at the jamboree. Really noice!!!!:thumb
Dude its lookin SWEET.

I like!

Thanks for all the comments guys!
The next thing to do is rear suspension. It needs firming up. The front is handling really well now.
Next accessory will be pop-outs I think. Gotta save up though.
I also need a bit of paintwork done and the rear apron fixed as well. I guess you could call my car a daily driver/on-going project!
Excuse the 5min photoshop. This is what I'm thinking for the side. I need to repaint the window edges anyway as the paint is chipping off due to poor prepwork. Very gloss black.
nice i like it mate do it

This weekend I repainted my headliner with vinyl dye. A lot of masking and a little bit of patience and this is the result.
Great Job, that looks awesome!
I wouldn't do the black side thing as I think your car has enough subtle statements to make it stand out without the need to do something obvious. You don't see too many Ls as clean as yours around.

You know I love your car..... but it's still too cute to be mean! I think Spider needs a photo in here too..... :P
wow.... an original head liner!!
Looking good mate
Futue te ipsum!!!
love the black window surrounds, really different.
Just looked at ya new wheels too, they barely get in the front guards. how much negative camber are you running?
As far as negative camber goes I havn't measured it. But I would estimate it to be around 1-2 degrees. I also have 185/60 rubber on the front so there is no rubbing. Speedo is about 4-5% out as a result of the smaller diameter.
My lovely girlfriend Pretty_Blue_Bug got me these as a present on the weekend. They are (were) NOS German fingerplates. Fitting them was a breeze and now no need to worry about scratching my paint.
:kiss I'm glad you like them!
Mine came today, I hope they're as easy as yours were to put on! :P
Looking good Eden
Love that dyno shot of you next to a stock Super
Barry
Futue te ipsum!!!
Thanks Barry. It was a good shot hey, it just happened that he pulled up next to mine. He was very interested in how I lowered it and wanted to do his own. His super was a 71 and completely original, no rust, he's the second owner and bought it from his Aunt who got it new.
How's your car going?
Nice touch of Bling Bling never goes unoticed
It is also good to have a womans involvment in your project/daily driver
Oh bugger you know what I mean !!!!!:thumbnn[ Edited on 1-8-2005 by beerdoc ]
