Wow... that looks really sweet! Great job on the paint. 👍
What sound/noise/*** does the horn make? foghorn? bullhorn?
...and Robert's ya father's brother...
its supposed to be a bull horn, but it sounds more like some sort of vibrating part failure
got a relay and some 10 or 20 amp wire hooked up to it? I found in my previous beetle, i had massive voltage drop from using the original wiring... so I switched to ot the new stuff and well, London, here we come ay?!!
...and Robert's ya father's brother...
got new wiring, but no relay yet. its all quick fix jobs at the moment, just want to have it at day of
started tackling the front indicators today.
i started by marking where i wanted them, used the cutting blade on the grinder to start off, drilled small holes, then punched out the chunk. then lots of back and forth between grinder and dremil, untill the plastic indicator units sliped in nicely. unfortunatly they dont sit fully flush with the bumper

nice work - are they LEDS?
What car are they from?
...and Robert's ya father's brother...
not leds, weird small globes. they are the ones you see on the side of the newer commodores. got them from auto 1 (rare spares) they look alright, but are all plastic. a bit flimsy for my liking
love the car mate will u go early headlights at the front to match the early rear?
i was going to, but not sure now. the plan was to cut the light section out of old guards and weld into the super guards
if you're gonna do some cutting, get a couple of last model's E-Class lenses (the larger ones) and do a flush fitting job... 😉
...and Robert's ya father's brother...
you got any pics of these e-class lenses chris?
Those indicators look a bit cute! Even if they are plastic.... :P
Akean you're crazy man... I love it!
hehehe
nah, I can't remember where I saw it. but the concept was to pretty much continue the curve of the guard (sorta like the early headlights do, but with much less of a bulge). The rim that the chrome surround holds onto is shaved off and there's probably a bit of smoothing to do too. From what I could tell, the lens was somehow mounted from behind the guard... looked dam smooth..

Nice work there mate - I'm curious though, hows that exhaust paint holding up?
