Is it ok to have 185/60R15's on the front... and 195/60R15's on the back of a Beetle?

Currently I have 185's on front, and 215's on back. Looking at something a tad narrower for the back...

Nice to see another Bug with teledials! :P

PBB

I have 195's 65 series on the back and 60 series on the front

I had 60 series on the back and it looked a little funny - a bit small

I will email you a programme where you but the size and offset and it tells you the diameter

I will post some pics with the different wheels

You may be able to keep the 215's if you have a bigger off set

OK - only have a pic of a 195 60 series

Yes - my rear is high, has settles since.
I just reckon a 195 60 15 looks a little small

just had a play with the programme

195 60 = 24.213"
195 65 = 24.98
185 60 = 23.74

Thanx Bizarre! At the moment PBB has a slight 'rake look' happening since I put the 185's on the front... so I'll be happy with 195's on the back if it will make her level up a bit! :P

Yes its fine - I have 195 60's all round on my 1303.... I can identify with what Barry mentioned, but I did it as I wanted to reduce the rubber size in the rear a bit.....215's were a bit much the rims I have.

205/65/15 should keep the rolling diameter very close to stock.. ie: better fuel economy on the highways...

205's are too wide for the wheels I want to have, which are 5.5". I think 195's are the widest I can have on 5.5" rims.
Otherwise I'd keep my 215's as I love the look of them! Makes my PBB have a nice butt... 😂
