my clutch is on the way out...
so i obviously need to see about replaceing it.
i wouldnt mind something a bit sportier, something that engages a bit quicker. i like the feel of a stronger clutch.
im running an old swinger box and the engine is a 1776 with mild cam.
what are my options and how much should i expect to pay?

Use a Kennedy 1700lb pressure plate, they sell for around $220-$250. (also called a stage 1)

ok the old man suggested the dakin kit which has the sachs disc for about $160 or so and could handle most of what you can throw at it with that motor. he also said that you dont want too heavy a clutch as you then will break the throwout forks and be putting cables in al the time. but make your own decision
