I also have a customer who will be in Brisbane on his honeymoon and plans to spend the last day of his honeymoon at Warrick ... good to train them early I think !!

I wiew this event as fun holidays and social fun.
i will also be at the Jamboree the week before, but that is more like work due to the pressure.

no not 12a, mango has a type 4 turbo.

Wayne ran a 12a rotary many years ago in another apricot? coloured beetle

was this / is this purely air cooled? vws only? or open slatter?

how are competitors matched to each other? also out of curiosity...

and i assume there is some form of pre-entry? registration?

rollcage, helmets etc required?

Grabed all my time slips and these are my times for those who like numbers.

Saturday qualifing

.........Time...... mph....... 60ft.... RT
1st... 8.341.... 82.57......1.8.....0.49
2nd...8.323.... 82.57......1.7.....0.276
3rd....8.376.....81.82......1.7.....0.50
4th....8.475.....82.26......1.9.....0.50
5th broken axel

Sunday qualifing

........Time.....mph.......60ft.....RT
1st....8.246...83.33.....1.7....0.47
2nd...8.257...83.33.....1.7....0.58
3rd....8.263...83.64.....1.8....0.37

Racing, dial in 8.2

1.st...8.262....83.33....1.7....0.492 Win
2nd...8.524....82.12....1.9....0.503 Lose
3rd....8.481....81.96....1.8....0.383 Red light
4th....28.94....19.53....3.15..0.365 Red light, break 1st gear.

Had some nice numbers on Sunday qualifing, but as the day heated up, car went slower and I couldn't match my dial in, or stop red lighting.
But it was just the best 2 days racing I have ever been too, can't wait till next year

Try this Nick.

Mike Kristen ran a 6.20(on a 6.20 dial in no less!), and that was quickest time of the day.

Mike Waldron ran a 6.26, but at a whopping 116mph.

Most of the other Quick 8 guys were well into the 7s or better at around
dg 90mph or better.

Perhaps Craig could list the qualifying times list for quick 8.

Yes, all that information is being sent to me by the Warwick Drag Club. I spoke to Jo Sinclair on Wednesday, and most of it has now been sorted for me to use. They were adding a list of drivers names to allocated race numbers, which would help me to determine quicker who was doing what.
