I filled up with the new Shell V Power fuel yesterday that has replaced their Optimax.

It is a 98 Octane fuel with various additives (but not ethanol)

The car ran well, but seemed to be immediately running hotter than usual (oil temperature)

Any one else tried it out?

That's what I run all the time with no problems.

Keep in mind that it's an oxgenated fuel, so depending on your state of tune it could make the motor run a bit lean.
This could account for the extra heat.
