My Ball joint rubber boots have been turning with the ball joint bolt [threaded part] so they are split...
Car has only done less than 1500kms since rebuild over past 9 years....
so Ball joints are virtually new....
but the boots are ripped open....
not perished etc...
Looks like i should have greased the small end of the boots so they would slide and NOT grab....
So the Large Side of the boot stayed stationary while the small side turned....
Where can i buy new Ball Joint Boots....??
I've tried My normal VW shops.... No Go !!

I have also had to replace my ball joint boots i got there from a local vw shop here in tas vw imports. But i'm pretty sure they were a repco universal ball joint boot.Seemed to fit ok Not as good as the german but they should do the job.
Perhaps a professional or run of the mill steering or suspension place...
There should be plenty around to call into for 5 mins on ur way to work or whereeva, might have some luck.
VW shops didn't have the semi auto gear that i was after, but other places based on transmission/hyraulics had em. EVEN BLOODY AUTOBARN!... might work the same for u.
