Jeffs grey Rat beetle caught fire on the way home from Dubs by the Pub which from what could be seen started as a back fire in the left hand side weber.
Jeff having had a previose fire with Cool 56 a few years back of coarse now carries an extingwisher but by the time it was out the paint around the back window area was fry'd but thats all the damage.
As most of you are reading this you will be all thinking FUEL LINE BLOWN OFF but all lines are ok so Jeff had it trucked home for further investigations.

so does fire damage add value to the Rat look? 🙂

Hopefully there isn't too much damage :thumb

Damn sorry to hear that - I must admit I had thoughts and concerns my oval would end up with a similar fate as for the first time ever in a veedub I forgot to put the extinguisher back in for the journey. All okay for me, but spewing for Jeff. 🙁

speaking of wheel bearings i know this should be in tech talk but anyway what are all u guys and gals with hipo bugs running?
ive always been using the original german FAG bearings but i've gone thro a couple in the last few years cos i cant help abit of G force cornering is there a better alternative?

Timken Bearings, Joel, they are good.
This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

Not too tight either, usual cause for knackered tapered roller bearings......

Just ask and boxer BMW rider about their rear hub...
