Sorry to hear about your accident. I have bruised my coccyx (yes that is how you spell it!!) and it hurts like buggery !!!
Don't like your chances on taking your nurse friend out on a date. Dating a client is an offence that can lead to cancellation of Nursing licence (trust me, I have just had to report one of my nurses to the nurses board for doing the same thing) .......
🤘
You must have really planted yourself when you sat down.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

Is it just me or is that's a bit silly? In years gone buy lots of nurses met their partners by looking after them at work. Like teachers marrying teachers (NOT students) coz thats who they work with. Although I know of many a happy marriage between an young teacher and ex-student. Why do I have the feeling that nurses board is a bit like the RSL association? Why are you reporting this person?
i did the same thing, snowboarding at the remarkables in NZ.. i couldnt walk for days.. did nothing about it and it still hurts sometimes.

yeah, I'm with you spook. Is this one of those "I just sat down" like those guys who "I was just climbing through the window as I had locked myself out... and there was this tomato sauce bottle... and I didnt see it and I just fell and... it just somehow ended up there!" Hmmmmmmm
:P
When I did my training many a student female nurse dated patients, 'oh the romance' was the feelings on the ward. A male collegue dared date an ex pt and was hounded for taking advantage of the poor poppet. Was on the same (orthopedics) ward..... all were the same age etc.
Now there are strict codes of conduct to stop this happening. Somewhat silly in most cases (general hospital stuff) but still necessary to prevent 'issues'
Where I now specialise (psychiatry) it is necessary to protect everyone.
Here we usually have a quiet chat on the side to sort it out, as the 'victim' is usually the staff member. (Psychopaths are soooo charming)
Nurses board are money collecting nazis that do little for the profession though except wave the big deregistration stick.
Feel free to perve though!

Dating patients is just not on. When a person goes to hospital they are vulnerable, they are obviously sick or have had surgery etc etc etc and it is the responsibility of the Nurse to protect the patient from harm not shag them. I don't really care if that is old fashioned or whatever. I also don't approve of people dating people they work with. As for the Nurses board being money hungry nazis. Money hungry yes. Nazis no, they could and in many cases should be far tougher than they are. They have an obligation to the public to ensure that practising registered nurses are compentant and safe to practice and they don't do this, they allow people to do their own self assessments ........ blah blah blah blah ......
That is all I am going to say, will shut my mouth now.
GET WELL SOON
🤘
I'm with you opn that one, in not dating people who you work with.
A friend of mine in school fractured her coccyx when she slipped and fell onto the edge of a concrete step. She was out of action for 9 weeks, so count yourself lucky!
I hope you are running around again soon. Rest up! :sandrine
Hey be grateful that it was the kiddie ward you were in! Last (oops, third to last time) I was in, I got stuck in a geriatrics ward and aside from one old buger swearing all night I had to leave when he choked on a carrot (after being told to slow down and chew his food) as well as watch him almost smash a nurse in the face because he didn't want to do something.
After that, I can empathise on the bored feeling nd good looking nurses. Am looking forward to it in a month.
but I have to admit there is nothing more embaressing for a male than to have to have a few nurses wash you down when you cannot bend or twist and they even have wipe your butt, nothing - and I don't think anyone gets paid enough to have to do that!
'Ah, whatever................'
Gday Steve,
Sorry to hear about your misfortune, hope you get better real soon. The world needs to see that yellow notch screamin around....soon!
As for the nurse, be a good boy now and be careful. I'm married to one. Actually, my wife is the most wonderful person in the world and has made my life better than I could have ever dreamed. Very compassionate and understanding.
Nurses need to be hailed as heroes for what they do and who they are.
Look after yourself buddy!! See you soon. Darren

some researchers would disagree with you, its been found that frequent sexual intercourse during recovery from traumatic experiences (yes that includes breaking your assbone), helps the recovery process.
something about the extra endorphins released in your brain gives the cells and organisms that heal you a shove along.
and honestly, if i was stuck with a hot nurse i wouldnt mind at all if a sponge bath led to something more ... fluid
Time to crack out that collection of porn dvd's and start making a compilation of all your favourite scene's mate.
Just make sure you have plenty of Kleenex available!!
