Got my 1st VW (a light blue 74 Bug) for my 17th birthday - always had a VW of some sort - I think I was brainwashed by my parents (who still own the same car I was bought home from the hospital in! - a 69 411).

55 yrs young ... my first VW was my dads Type 3 Sqback which I drove when I got my license..unfortuneately someone wrote it off on dad when he was driving home from work late one night...I used to drive it on the condition that I took mum for her shopping
