MISS VDUB'S new ride UPDATE: 09/01/09 Gladys's New Home

kombibob · 2007-03-10T07:56:48+00:00

hi all thought we would show some pics of the new family member, Gladys the old girl. we picked her up a few weeks ago from a forum member, she is a 60 girl dechromed and bumpers removed for that 80's cal look. she will soon be slammed to the ground with a 2" narrowed adjustable beam and accessorised to the max here are some pics after the de-calification process. she is also now running a 1600 with twin kadrons and electonic iginition. should be on the road real soon, will keep you updated. Thanks for the lovely comments guys, im really loving the way she looks. We just bought some new shoes for her too.... some nice purdy Chrome BRM's... mmmm bling bling! The Splitty keeps eyeing them off though, so the girls might have to share them! LOL

Oh I wouldn't say that Ash.... It was us Thompson boys that were among the first to put a EJ20T into a VW.... We did the Notch almost 14 years ago now!.... But that little machine you guys are fiddling with is coming out very nice.... And soon to have some So-Cal bling too!.... Bloody hell.... Better get out the sunnies!!! 😎

What next?.... How about some vintage HP upgrades?..... Oohhh yeaaahh!

FUCH your early!

It's all about the bling, a girl has gotta accessorise!
You're a bad influence on me Simon, you can never trust a Thompson boy!😀 I'm really happy with how she is coming along, considering you saw the way she looked before, so dull and lifeless. It's great getting the awesome looks and comments i do when i take her out, it's things like that you miss when you're not driving a VW!!!! And much like you Jonathan, she is done on a bit if a budget, so im stoked...

Gladys got her new shoes today, but she will have to share them with the Splitty (generous isn't she)... some nice Chrome BRM's, with 145/65's up front and 195/60's on the rear. Finally got a rear venetian for her back window and an Empi GTV badge.
So she is pretty much done now... or is she? Time to move onto the Split for some luvin!!!

Your Tiki creations inspired me to add a touch of Tiki to Gladys. She has a Tiki that hangs from her Mirror and a Tiki aerial topper! I love your Tiki work!!!

Hey Guys. I recently took my girl to the Gold Coast show, and with a bit of Spit and Polish she came up a treat! It must have worked because to my disbelief she won The Riviera Choice Award. I'm not one to go to a show and expect to win a trophy. She is how i want her to be, not how i think she should be for everyone to like her.
Here are some piccies of her flaunting her stuff for the camera..

I recently had my birthday and Gladys got spoilt as much as i did, so i should have some more update shots soon!
