it should be aimed at ALL AGES that enjoy their early cars, most clubs have a diverse range of ages ,
we all should be celebrating our passion for chrome
bumper rides,
no-one should feel excluded.......
Hi Ponybeetle, I dont mean for anyone to feel excluded from this event, but events I have been to recently, the majority of car owners have been over 50 and for a range of reasons (being too young, not having owned my car for long enough, not having enough cylinders, having replaced the original spark plug leads...) I have been made to feel less worthy or even unwelcome.
(This sort of a thing is far less of an issue in the VW community and i have a lot of respect for vdub owners for that)
Because of these encounters and the growing number of people I know who have been meeting online and in person who are in similar positions to me either in age or the style of vehicle that they own, i decided that rather then the average show organised by 60 year olds to their tastes with those much younger trying to fit in, it would be far more fun to have a group of young people organise a show that will really suit us and all others are more then welcome.
