top mount which can be used for a 3 or 5 bar setup............no need to cut any body work, although I need to check this on my 50's and 60's beetles to be 100% sure.

Looking good Craig

I will be keen to see if it fits under the 50's bug without involving an angle grinder. I'll be a happy customer if it does.

If I get 4 or more orders for 50's bugs I will make up custom brackets to suit if the current ones don't fit 👍

Cheers..............slowly getting there.

I'm thinking the kit needs to come with the custom cradle (solid or rubber mount) as it is hard to mount to the standard cradle.

or

I make it just a weld on kit to the forks ??

or both options ??

Thoughts?

C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.

Price: $398 for the 3 bar kit...........$560 for the 5 bar kit.

3 Bar Kits will include: 6 custom clevis joints (3 LH and 3 RH Thread), 2 shock mount brackets, 2 laser cut weld on brackets for the horns, 1 long and 2 short Aluminium brace rods. All nuts, high tensile bolts and washes needed as well as all components plated and anodised.

5 Bar Kits will include: 10 custom clevis joints (5 LH and 5 RH Thread), 2 shock mount brackets, 4 laser cut "weld on" brackets, 1 long and 4 short Aluminium brace rods. All nuts, high tensile bolts and washes needed as well as all components plated and anodised.

The Heavy Duty cradle will also be available in solid mount or for rubber mounts for extra $$.............I still need to work out costings, but should be under $100.

I will photograph the kit when it returns from the platers.

I will start taking orders soon. 😎

Looks great Craig and great price for the quality of materials there.

Quick question - how is the bar fixed to the end of the forks (ie. the cradle end)?

Al, on the kit in the photo there is a tab welded to the back of the cradle (you can just see the heat sink).

The Kits have a laser cut bracket that needs to be welded to the forks (near the base of the cradle). The best option is to buy the modified cradle as per the photo (supplied by me), this makes the 3 bar kit a 'bolt in' version.

you know you want the 5 bar !!.......................the 3 bar kit uses the same shock brackets so you can add the extra bars later 👍

The cost of the clevis joints is the killer, and the 5 bar kit has an additional 4.
