Like this, Josh?!

Hoodjax is a decklid stand-off device for Beetles (all years) that allows the top of the engine lid to be propped open, letting in plenty of fresh cool air for maximum engine cooling and performance. Thanks to the use of quick-release R-clips, Hoodjax is quickly and easily removed for security and for driving/parking in cold or rainy weather, or for ‘stock’ appearance. Ideal for rats or sleepers! Hoodjax is especially good for pre-1971 with no factory engine lid vents.

Hoodjax has been proven over more than 15 years to assist the cooling of big bore, stroker and turbo engined Beetles. Hoodjax helps deliver maximum power and reduces the 'hot idle' stumbles caused by fuel vaporisation - especially in summer.

Installation is DIY and takes around 15 minutes for initial fitting – after that, Hoodjax can be removed in seconds in your driveway or by the roadside. Installation requires two 10mm holes to be drilled in your engine lid’s hinge C-brackets, plus the use of some other simple hand tools. Instructions are provided. A secondary benefit is that your engine lid is now quickly removable for easy engine bay access during servicing.

I will take a set for my Fasty 🤪
1971 Type 3 Fasty - EJ20T

I love 242HP sleepers. 🤪

How many sets of lights does it take a $229k Carrera S to learn? 😂 UPDATE: Cayman S, M3, B4 now added to the list.
